bus power upgrade
all externally powered monome devices are eligible: 128 and 256, walnut with orange lighting. performance or brightness will not be compromised in any way. we even designed a new aluminum side plate without the power hole for seamless modification. there are several methods to upgrade:

this upgrade kit includes the capacitor (470u), wire (stripped to length), and plate. of course, you could source your own parts and do this upgrade yourself without our kit.

2. ship us your logic board
remove your logic board yourself and ship it to us for modification and testing. as an additional service we’ll flash the firmware with the newest version (which removes a momentary start of the “sleep animation” at boot in addition to a key tracking optimization.) new aluminum side plate included.

after you’ve paid and received an e-mail receipt from google checkout, print the receipt and ship it with the logic board in a small box or padded envelope to:

3. ship us your entire device
we offer this service in the US only. shipping costs and customs complications make cross-border shipping much too difficult and expensive.
we’ll upgrade and test the device, ensuring it’s in top working condition.

after you’ve paid we’ll e-mail you a prepaid UPS label (fully insured) that you print and attach to your very well-packed box. please do not send us packing peanuts (seriously). since this is a high-value shipment you’ll need to drop it off at a UPS counter or to a UPS driver in person. you’ll get a signed receipt, which is important to have in case something goes wrong in shipping. don’t skip this. you will not be reimbursed if something goes wrong and you don’t have a signed receipt.
