the new edition of monome devices will support discrete per-led brightness levels. this has some considerable implications for future application development—visual differentiation of states, control elements, etc.
a firmware upgrade for older monome devices is forthcoming. all existing apps are compatible with the new monome devices. updated OSC protocol will be posted with the introduction of serialosc later this weekend.
